A New Chapter Begins at Temple Lodge #98! 🛠️📐

Last night, the brethren of Temple Lodge #98 gathered for our annual election night. It was an evening filled with fellowship, gratitude, and a shared vision for the future of our Lodge.

On this Memorial Day, the Brothers of Temple Lodge #98 pause to honor the absolute highest standard of sacrifice.

Our Lodge shares a deep, unbreakable bond with the Armed Forces. Originating as a military lodge, our very foundation was built by men who served—Brothers who understood what it meant to put country before self. That legacy shapes who we are today, and it drives our ongoing commitment to supporting our nation and our military community.

Today is not about celebration; it is about remembrance.

We bow our heads in memory of all our fallen Brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice in combat, giving their last full measure of devotion on the battlefield. We also hold a sacred space in our hearts for the Brothers who made it back home, lived out their days in service to the Craft and their communities, and have since been called to the Celestial Lodge above.

To our fallen heroes and our departed veterans: your watch is over, but your light still shines in our Lodge room. This special day keeps your memory alive in our hearts, reminding us that freedom is never free, and a Brother’s sacrifice is never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Brethren. We will carry the torch forward.

Yesterday, the Brothers of Temple Lodge #98 had the absolute privilege of firing up the grill at Brookshire Nursing Home!

In honor of National Nurses Week, we wanted to show our deep appreciation for the incredible nursing staff who give so much of themselves every single day. It was our pleasure to serve up some fresh cookout favorites as a small "thank you" for their tireless dedication, compassion, and hard work.

To the nursing team at Brookshire and healthcare workers everywhere: thank you for being the heart of our community! ❤️🩺

Happy Mother’s Day from the Brothers of Temple Lodge #98! 🌹

Today, we pause our working tools to honor and celebrate the incredible women who are the true foundation of our lives.

To the mothers who gave us life and nurtured us with unconditional love—thank you for being our first home and our greatest supporters.

To the aunts, grandmothers, mentors, and mother figures who stepped in to help guide our steps—thank you for your wisdom. Your steady hands helped us navigate life’s challenges and taught us how to make good, honorable decisions.

And to the wives and partners who have borne our children—you are our best friends, our confidantes, and our teammates in this journey. Your strength, grace, and patience inspire us daily.

Every bit of the men we are today, we owe entirely to the mothers and mother figures who have shaped us. Your love builds better men, stronger families, and better communities.

It is with great pride and brotherly love that Temple Lodge #98 announces the raising of our newest Master Mason, Brother Arthur Seaton III! 🏛️⚒️

The journey to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason is not an easy one, and Brother Seaton has proven himself worthy at every step. From his first entrance into the Lodge as an Entered Apprentice, he was challenged to chip away at the rough ashlar of his own character. As he passed to the degree of Fellowcraft, he dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge, science, and the deeper meanings of our working tools.

Through all the late nights of study, the memorization of our ancient catechisms, and the trials of learning the Craft, he has shown unwavering dedication. Arthur, your hard work and perseverance have truly paid off, and you have earned your place among the brethren.

Congratulations on this monumental milestone, Brother! But remember, achieving the 3rd Degree is not the end of your journey—it is only the true beginning of your Masonic travels. The foundation has been laid, but there is always more light to seek and more work to be done.

👔 Building Confidence, One Suit at a Time! 👔

Temple Lodge #98 is incredibly proud to celebrate our ongoing partnership with Suits for Scholars! For the second year in a row, our Lodge has stepped up to support this amazing initiative. This year, we were thrilled to contribute $300—a donation that provided four young men with their very own fully tailored suits! 🧵✨

A special shoutout and massive congratulations goes to our very own Junior Warden, Robert DuBose. Brother DuBose has been a passionate champion of Suits for Scholars for 10 years. At this year’s presentation, he was officially honored for his unwavering dedication and commitment to dressing our young men for a successful future. 🏆👏

We couldn't be prouder of his leadership and his heart for the community. When we invest in our youth, we invest in the future. Here’s to looking sharp and aiming high!

Shout out to Bro. O'Neil and Bro. Wilson on supporting Madison County Enable (Formally CASA). Our brothers, representing Temple Lodge in the community, were out delivering much needed food and groceries in our county to those that needed it

This past weekend was Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Alabama - District No. 17's Annual joint meeting between the East and West side of the District. Temple Lodge was in attendance along with all other Lodges in this great District.

We got a great word to open the meeting and listened to other Lodges give their annual report to the collective that included Grand Master Hawkins and an entourage of Grand Lodge dignitary's.

Grand Master Hawkins also delivered his address to the District and commended us on a job well done for the year.

After which we were treated to Lodge Awards and we're pleased to announce that Temple Lodge came home with 3 awards for the day.
1. The Robert L. "Bobby" Langford Community Service Award to Bro. Erick Wade
2. The Meritorious Service Award to JW Robert DuBose
3. Lodge of the Year Second Place to Temple Lodge #98

Congratulations again to our Brothers both individually and collectively for making this masonic year so special and for all that you do inside and outside of our meeting halls. You can't spell THE without Together, for THE Temple Lodge No. 98!!
