Show Your Georgia Tech Pride with a Branded License Plate!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for our dedicated Georgia Tech alumni living in Alabama! You can now pre-register for a Georgia Tech branded license plate and proudly display your Yellow Jacket pride on the road!

Why Pre-Register?

Show Your Spirit: With a Georgia Tech license plate, you can demonstrate your unwavering support for our beloved alma mater wherever you go.

Stand Out: Drive with distinction and let everyone know you are part of the esteemed Georgia Tech family.

How to Pre-Register?

Pre-registering for your Georgia Tech branded license plate is quick and easy:

Visit MyDMV,
select “Reserve a Pre-Commitment Plate”, and then Georgia Tech Alumni Association from the drop down menu.

Fill out the pre-registration form with your information. Note: you will need your car’s VIN.

Submit your form along with $50 fee.

Spread the word to fellow alumni!

The more alumni who pre-register, the sooner we can make these license plates a reality.
We must reach 250 pre-registrations by December 31, 2025 to keep this opportunity! So, rally your Georgia Tech friends and family in Alabama to join the movement!

Every Spring, our network awards $2,000 to local students attending GT.

If you would like to help, click the link and type Huntsville in the designation field. We have two fully endowed scholarships—Robert Glenn Allen and David Parker Collingwood that each give $1,000 each year. The Expendable account is building a third endowment. Any help is appreciated—Go Jackets!!

This year we have so many amazing local students attending GT, we awarded six students each $500. Our first scholarship recipient is Timothy Zhu who will be studying Industrial Engineering in the Fall. We wish him all the best! Go Jackets!

Would anyone be interested in hosting a local Pi mile run/walk? Details from the Alumni Association:

WHEN: Regional Pi Mile Run/Walk is Saturday, April 22, 2023
WHERE: Any 5k Route in your hometown (I can help select and plan the routes)
WHAT: To participate, email me back that your Network/town/community would like to have a Pi Mile by Friday, February 10th
HOW: As a host, you simply need to be the point person at the site on April 22nd to help round up the runners and get them on their way

We can finalize the route and logistics later, but I need to know if you want to hold a Regional Pi Mile by next Friday. I can help find a 5k route in your town. We at the alumni association handle all of the registrations and email communications. The t-shirts are shipped directly to the runners. All you would have to do is be my contact and show up on race day!

If you are interested in participating please let me know by Friday, February 10th.

This is a uniquely Georgia Tech event and everyone always has a wonderful time running, walking, and socializing! Again, please let me know by Friday, February 10th if you would like to participate!
