The Rescue Squad is a 24/7 volunteer team serving Madison County. We never bill for services and rely on donations to continue serving.

We respond to vehicle extrications, machinery entrapments, water rescues, and assist with medical emergencies. Serving the Huntsville-Madison County area for almost 60 years, we offer mutual aid to municipal and volunteer fire departments.

❤️ October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month.

Knowing CPR can help you save a life. This October, take a CPR class, learn how to use an AED, and be ready to act when seconds count and help is only minutes away.

Call 911. Start CPR. Use an AED.

Together, we can build a safer, better-prepared community.

We are incredibly grateful to the MCHS Ambassadors, National Honor Society, and the entire MCHS community for their generosity and support! ❤️🇺🇸

It was an honor to welcome these outstanding students and accept their Miracle Minute donation. Their thoughtfulness is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when young people come together with a heart for service and their community.

Thank you for choosing to support the Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad, Inc and the work of our volunteers. Your kindness and appreciation mean more than you know.

We are proud to serve this community—and thankful for students and families who stand behind those who answer the call.

Thank you, MCHS! 💜💛

This weekend, our newest crew members received hands-on training in basic vehicle extrication and stabilization. Training included vehicle size-up, glass management, gaining access, removing doors, roof removal, and safely operating hydraulic rescue tools.

Members also practiced stabilizing vehicles using wheel chocks, cribbing, step chocks, and stabilization struts.

A huge thank-you to Pick Your Parts - Huntsville for allowing us to use your facility. Training opportunities like this help us improve our skills and prepare to perform at our best when it matters most!

Today, we remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives that were lost, the families who never got to welcome their loved ones home, and the first responders who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to get away.

As a Rescue Squad, we have a special respect for the firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, dispatchers, and so many others who stepped up that day. Many gave everything while simply doing what they were called to do, helping others.

25 years later, we still remember their courage and their sacrifice.

May we never forget those we lost and those who answered the call.

Never Forget. 🇺🇸

🔥 National Volunteer Firefighter Day 🔥
Today, we proudly recognize the dedicated volunteer firefighters who selflessly serve and protect their communities.

Although our Rescue Squad is not a firefighting organization, several members of our squad also serve as volunteer firefighters. We’re especially proud of their commitment, sacrifice, and willingness to answer the call, whether serving with the fire department or our organization.

To our members, all volunteer firefighters, and those we are honored to serve alongside: thank you for your courage, dedication, and service to our communities!
