Huntsville Local ATPE is ready for HISD Convocation. Come by and see us to register for this year’s membership! Remember, if you were a member with us here at HISD and had payroll deduction or have been paying via credit card or bank account, you do not need to register again. Your membership will roll over to this school year. If anyone is a current member and would like to make changes to their membership, come see us. And, THANK YOU for being a member of the largest membership professional teacher organization in Texas. We look forward to serving you!

The local officers, Amy Langley, Stephen Newsome, and Lisa Black, enjoyed visiting the State Capital today to lobby on behalf of public education. We met with Rep. Kyle Kacal and also met with Sen. Schwertner’s aide, Leah Clark. Talking points included vouchers, school safety, school staffing and retention, and COLA (cost of living adjustment) for our retired educators.
