Care Champion Day is this Wednesday, Sept. 2! A meaningful thank-you can stay with a caregiver long after a patient goes home.

Care Champion Day is an opportunity to recognize a Huntsville Hospital Health System employee who made a difference in your care or the care of someone you love. Your Care Champion will receive a special recognition letting them know they were honored — and that their compassion, skill and dedication made a lasting impact.

Even better, 100% of your gift supports the hospital department or program of your choice through Huntsville Hospital Foundation, helping make exceptional care possible for the next patient who needs it.

Honor your Care Champion this Wednesday and show a caregiver just how much their care meant to you >> https://p2p.onecause.com/carechampionday

We are so proud of the incredible people who make Huntsville Hospital such a special place. ❤️

Erin, Kaitlin and Emily went above and beyond to make Jeannie’s final wish possible, creating a beautiful moment for her and her family that they’ll never forget.

We’re grateful every day for the nurses and caregivers across our hospitals who care for patients and families in ways big and small. We’re so proud to celebrate these three and the difference they made for Jeannie and her family.

Grief can feel incredibly isolating, but no family should have to navigate it alone. 💙 We’re grateful to The Caring Foundation of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for supporting and helping connect families across Alabama with grief support resources, including The Caring House.

As the only childhood bereavement program in Madison County, The Caring House provides grief support and resources to children and families at no cost, thanks to generous donor support through HHF.

Need support or know a family who does? Learn more about The Caring House and how to get connected: https://www.hhwomenandchildren.org/services/caring-house

After the loss of a loved one, the weight of grief can feel overwhelming and isolating. While navigating this journey, there are several organizations across north and central Alabama that can support you and your children.

The Caring Foundation is proud to partner with organizations and their missions of providing support when it’s needed most.

A lifesaving resource is now more accessible across Madison County. ❤️ Eight new AEDs have been placed at Madison County parks and pools, helping ensure this critical equipment is close at hand when every minute matters.

Michael Stevenson, director of Huntsville Hospital Sports Medicine, recently joined Madison County Commissioners Craig Hill (Madison County Commission District 3) and Tom Brandon (Madison County District 1) to place one of the new AEDs at Brownsboro Pool and Splash Pad.

A special thank-you to Commissioner Brandon for allocating funding for all eight AEDs, Commissioner Hill for helping welcome this important resource to Brownsboro Pool, and Michael for his work to get these devices into public spaces across Madison County.

We’re grateful for their commitment to making our community a safer place to live, work and play.

This national recognition hits close to home.👏 Congratulations to Huntsville Hospital's Safety, Security & Parking team on being named one of just eight finalists nationwide for the 2026 OSPAs Outstanding Security Team Award!

We’re especially proud that donor support through HHF has helped strengthen the team’s work to protect our caregivers, patients and visitors. From real-time incident tracking and wearable duress buttons to Daisy, the Firearm Detection K-9, your generosity has helped provide important tools and technology that make our hospitals safer.

And the results are making a difference: Over the past three years, the Security team has helped reduce workplace violence incidents by 28.3%.

What better way to celebrate this incredible team? Make a gift in their honor to help continue investing in the people and resources protecting our hospital community every day >> https://www.huntsvillehospitalfoundation.org/get-involved/give-now

Our Safety, Security & Parking team has been named one of just eight finalists nationwide for the 2026 Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) Outstanding Security Team Award. 👏

And this recognition goes far beyond health care. The OSPAs recognize security programs across industries, with this year’s finalists ranging from health systems to organizations such as Amazon Worldwide Security Operations. HH Health is one of only three health care organizations among the eight finalists.

Their work helps create a safer environment for patients, families and employees while addressing a growing challenge across the health care industry: workplace violence.

Over the past three years, our Security team has helped reduce workplace violence incidents by 28.3%, reduced workplace violence in the Emergency Department by 46% following the launch of Alabama’s first hospital-based Security K-9 program, and trained more than 11,000 employees in de-escalation techniques.

Winners will be announced Sept. 13 at the OSPA Awards Ceremony in Atlanta. Congratulations to our Security team on this well-deserved national recognition! 🙌⭐️

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and our friends at Learning Express Toys of Huntsville Alabama, our Child Life team was able to stock up on toys, games and activities that will bring comfort, distraction and smiles to children receiving care at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.

Thank you to everyone who donated, rounded up at checkout or purchased a toy from our wish list. And a special thank-you to Learning Express Toys for once again partnering with us to help make a hospital stay a little brighter for our youngest patients.
