New Meditation Center in Huntsville
The Huntsville meditation group is a satellite of the Birmingham Shambhala Meditation Center. This group formed in December 2015 and meets at the Healing Arts Center in Huntsville which is located at 523 Fountain Row. Current plans are to meet several times a week based on the needs and schedule availability of the community.
Those of all spiritual traditions are invited to explore our offerings in the quest to find a mind of compassion, gentleness and sanity. We offer programs for beginners in meditation as well as experienced practitioners.
Learn to meditate and naturally grow your confidence, mindful awareness, and compassion. In keeping with the Birmingham Shambhala Meditation Center’s generosity policy, the Huntsville satellite offers free public meditation sittings.
Initially, we will focus on providing meditation classes and offer book studies to help new comers broaden their understanding. As we grow in Huntsville, we will begin to offer a beginning of classes and retreats in meditation. Huntsville group members have the opportunity to participate in meditation classes and retreats provided by the Birmingham Center as well as their offerings of Buddhist and Shambhala teachings.
