NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman has named Stephen Cash director of the agency’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, effective Monday, Oct. 19. Cash is a veteran NASA engineer and aerospace executive and is returning to lead the center where he began his career more than four decades ago.

This week, Huntsville is hosting colleagues from the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC for a visit. The delegation includes city, county, and Chamber executives who are touring different sites in Huntsville, including The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Cummings Research Park, Team Redstone, and other sites.

We held a joint news conference with their leadership on Monday afternoon at Davidson Technologies - Davidson to discuss how both regions will work together to support the next generation of U.S. space and homeland defense capabilities.

We then heard remarks from General Stephen Whiting, Commander of U.S. Space Command, who is leading the relocation of his command’s headquarters to the Rocket City. “We are grateful for the novel formation of this twin-city partnership and optimistic that it will continue serving our nation’s critical defense interests as space becomes an increasingly contested domain,’ General Whiting said.

On October 1, as part of the , think-and-do tank Heartland Forward honored three cities across three states—Huntsville, Alabama; Grand Rapids, Michigan and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma—as Secret Sauce Communities.

The cities were selected for our distinct and innovative approaches to economic growth, community development and cultural vitality, and the recognition highlights each for having the right ingredients to thrive.

Chip Cherry, Huntsville/Madison County Chamber President and CEO, participated in a panel at along with David Holt, Mayor of Oklahoma City; Poppy Harlow, Moderator; and David Van Andel, Chairman & CEO, Van Andel Institute.

INDTECH students at the Huntsville Center for Technology celebrated Manufacturing Day today by building working FM radio kits!

Students gained hands-on experience with hardware assembly and electrical wiring. This exciting project is part of the Driving Possibilities™ initiative, proudly managed by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Foundation.

We love seeing the next generation of innovators dive into advanced manufacturing!
