Day 6 -PAR volunteers deployed in Ripley, Mississippi worked on 4 properties today. One still covered with as much as 5 inches of ice on most of the property. All of homes where we worked are still without power or water. We are working under the umbrella of God's Pit Crew and they have received 750+ requests for help. So far PAR has worked on 15 of these properties. Most volunteers are staying thru Saturday with a few returning earlier. We have met other volunteers from states as far away as New Jersey & Illinois while others are coming from North Carolina where they have 14 inches of snow. Continue to pray for the safety of those helping and as they travel between jobs, while working and returning back home.

FOX13 got our first look at the cleanup from the ice storm in hard-hit Tippah County Tuesday. Trees remain snapped on the side of the highway, and once you enter neighborhoods in cities such as Ripley, Mississippi, it becomes very clear that the road to recovery is just getting started. https://fox13.tv/4kzZXcl

Day 5 PAR volunteers serving in Ripley, MS in the rain. Worked on 3 properties today. Finished the first property in the rain. Went back to the church where we are staying. Power was off because an 18 wheeler hit a low power line and brought down 2 utility poles. Got a free lunch from a Texas BBQ ministry. Worked at 2 more properties in the rain. Wet but still a good day of service.

Day 4 PAR volunteers serving in the Ripley/Blue Mountain area worked on 4 properties clearing ice storm damage. The storm happened 8 days ago and none of the properties we worked on had electricity or water although one got their power turned on while we were there. Weather was much better than this past weekend temperatures warmed up into the 50s so we were able to get a lot accomplished.

PAR volunteers are headed to Ripley, Mississippi today (Friday 1/29/26) and will be serving there until Sunday 2/8/26). More volunteers will be joining them throughout this week partnering with God's Pit Crew. Many residents of Ripley have been without power since a major ice storm hit Jan. 25th. There are many trees down, some on houses and much work to be done despite the low temperatures. Continue to pray and support our volunteers. Check back as we will be posting photos throughout the week.
