When your role shifts from “doing the work” to “leading the work,” the skill set changes quickly.

SCALE focuses on the parts most engineers are expected to pick up on the job:
• Communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders
• Aligning teams across functions
• Leading programs, not just tasks
• Making decisions with incomplete information

12 weeks, one session per week, with applied work you can connect back to your role.

Small cohort to keep it practical.

Registration closes July 1. Program starts August 24. https://asem.org/event-6719773

If you’re an engineer taking on more leadership responsibility, you've probably realized that technical expertise only gets you part of the way there.

ASEM is launching the Strategic Collaboration for Applied Leadership in Engineering (SCALE) Pilot Program, a 12-week leadership development program built specifically for engineers working in space and defense environments.

This program is a strong fit if you are:
• Moving toward a management role
• Already leading projects or small teams
• Looking to strengthen how you communicate, influence, and make decisions

The format is practical:
• Weekly live sessions with industry, government, and academic speakers
• Applied assignments you can connect to your current work
• A capstone project at the end of the program

To keep it interactive, the cohort is limited to 15 participants.

Registration deadline is July 1, 2026. The program begins August 24.
