RESERVE HOMEOWNERS ONLY—REMEMBER TO SIGN UP RE: YOUR RED MAPLE TREES

Earlier this month, the Board of Directors of the Reserve Homeowners Association released an email advising residents that Stoney Gray, the arborist who is advising the Board on how best to save and retain the red maple trees along Natures Way, would offer discounted consultations to Reserve residents who may be interested in getting assistance with the trees and/or shrubs on their own property. So far, nine homeowners have asked to have Mr Gray assess the health of plants on their property and recommend any remedial action.

If you are interested in participating or coordinating with neighbors for tree/shrub analysis and treatment in the coming months, please contact Dave Fledderman at [email protected] by February 3, 2026, to be included on the list for the arborist. Dave will follow-up with you on scheduling the site visit in late February or early March.

Our good neighbor and avid grounds-keeper extraordinaire, John Hudgens, is ready to pass the golden shovel to pursue different retirement activities. He is looking to take some much-needed time with family and enjoy our community at a more relaxed pace. Many thanks to John for the many years of volunteering and to Esther, for her volunteer service.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to take your passion for beautiful landscapes, groomed vistas, and naturally color-splashed vignettes to the big time. Are you passionate about beautiful outdoor spaces and want to make a difference in our community? The Reserve Owners Association is seeking a volunteer to coordinate landscape projects and general maintenance with vendors for our neighborhood grounds. John has offered to continue to be available for guidance for the new Chair and Committee.

Please contact Denise Barnes at [email protected] to learn more or to express your interest in this opportunity or any of our committees.

CLOSED TO ENTER: The project to resurface the front porch and back patio will be starting at any moment this weekend to early next week. Vendor is awaiting delivery of a supply item and will begin. Once the barrier tape goes up, we need you to be aware of the following:
1 Do not walk, stand, or put anything on the surface of the areas beyond the barrier.
2 All entrances from the porch or patio to the clubhouse, fitness, and restrooms will be closed due to the resurfacing and barriers. (The Fitness Center is available from the side door only but no access to the Clubhouse or restrooms from there.)
We understand this is an inconvenience. We sincerely appreciate your patience and support for this improvement. This project will improve the safety of the walking surface and enhance the features of our Clubhouse.

Phase 1 Recreational area of Clubhouse: In the Clubhouse/pool area, the work on redirecting and improving the drainage between the clubhouse and pool and the area around the pool features. This project has become a critical improvement over time.

The first phase begins Monday, April 21 and will run for about 3 weeks. We hope to be completed by pool opening on May 10. Our Pool Chair, Project Leader, and Clubhouse Chair are coordinating and will keep us up-to-date.

For this project start, we need you to do the following:
1 Mind the barriers. Keep care of yourself and children around the area.
2 We intend to open the pool if barriers to the worksite are effective. Safety of members is top priority.
3 If you do not need to be there, avoid the work area.
The benefits of this project are big. It will divert water flow to our pool and pool area causing drainage to go unmanaged and casing damage to our pools and pump and bath houses. This phase will include swale and French drain installation, replacement of small drainpipes with large ones, and adding gutters to buildings. The finishing landscape rock, plants, and sod will deter and prevent erosion around the features and the remedies to ensure longevity of the recreational area of the community.

Thanks, again, for your attention and patience over these next few weeks.

Best regards for a Happy Easter,

Board of Directors
The Reserve Owners Association

The New Pool Furniture Is Here!!!!

The furniture is now available for use as of today. We invite everyone to use it and enjoy it. Please come a little early to the 6:00 Community Meeting today and see the pool and patio furniture.

Our Pool Chairperson, Pam Sanders, did a tremendous job and service for our community. Besides selecting the style and material from various options to delivery, Pam improved the pool experience for all of us. She had a busy day working with the vendor and checking each piece. Pam created the beautiful pool area in the photo above. Please share your appreciation with her.

Just a couple of requests:

The new furniture is a big, but necessary investment for the community. It is sturdy and high quality, and serves as stationary furniture. It is not intended to be moved around as the old furniture was. Dragging and pushing it will cause a break-down in the structural integrity. We will have some of the old furniture available for additional seating or tablespace which should be returned to the original place.

Continuing with the theme of returning things to their original configuration. A reminder that umbrellas must be taken down and tied to prevent damage. You will find the umbrellas easy to put up and much needed relief from sunshine. They are also easy to take down and tie (DO NOT TIE IN A KNOT, ONLY A BOW). Your neighbors will be very thankful and relieved that umbrellas will be available for a long while with proper care.

Thank you for your cooperation and anticipation for this nice and much needed improvement for our community. Enjoy your pool!

Welcome Home!

Our buttons are bursting with lots of handy information for you!

We are launching new buttons on The Reserve Community website and the Residents Portal.

The Welcome Home buttons hold vital information that will help new residents connect to the community easily. There is a lot of good information for all residents to understand and access our community, HOA, and our facilities. You can check it out at the residents portal at elitehousing.appfolio.com/connect/user/sign_in
or our website www.reservecommunity.com

Here’s what we buttoned up for you:

Welcome Letter for new residents
HOA Roles & Responsibilities
Contacts
Services and Utilities
ARC Guide
Compliance Enforcement Process
Voting

We have a few more topics in drafting and will announce additions as they are finalized. We will be looking for more topics and burning questions from residents when we get the Welcome
Home Committee officially up and running.

This project was possible because of the efforts of the Welcome Home Project Team:

Carla Simons
Bette Moore
Wesley Barnes
Stephanie Nowak
RJ Hazelton
Laura Waweru
Ray Fernandez
Kathie Kiss (Contributor)

Be sure to thank these neighbors who brought all this together and are making plans to stand up a continuing committee to welcome new residents to the community.
