Back in April 2022, Rocket City Adapted Athletics was just a vision.

A dream of creating something that our community needed - where kids with physical disabilities could have a place to belong, be a part of a team, compete, accomplish their goals through sports, and learn to live independently as a person with a disability.

Four years ago, when we launched RCAA, there were no players, no equipment, no funding, and no blueprint. Just a belief that a vision could turn into reality and the decision to take the first step.

Today, the dream and vision for RCAA is real.

This past January, we reached a major milestone for our program - fielding Huntsville’s very first and only prep wheelchair basketball team. The Rocket City Rockets debuted and competed in their first tournament in program history at the 10th Annual Big Peach Slam Jam in Emerson, GA. Our team went on to compete in three more tournaments, concluding their inaugural season at SEC Championships in Birmingham, AL. We continued to learn, grow, and proudly represent our community.

RCAA is just getting started and we have big plans for the future.

Looking ahead, our focus remains the same: continue to grow our team, reach more athletes and families, and build something here in the Rocket City that lasts for years to come. We want Rocket City Adapted Athletics to be a recognizable and meaningful part of the Huntsville community - not just for what we do on the court, but for the opportunities we are able to create.

The foundation is being laid and we will continue to build on it. 🚀

The 4th Annual RCAA Golf Tournament will take place on October 12th, 2026! 🚀🏌️

For golfers, team registration is now open. Register your team here: rocketcityadaptedathletics.org/register

We are also seeking sponsors for this event. Sponsorship levels can be viewed below. If you would like to be a sponsor for this event email us at [email protected] or visit rocketcityadaptedathletics.org/sponsor and fill out a sponsorship form.

All proceeds from this event go towards providing sports chairs, equipment, uniforms, facility space, travel costs, tournament fees, etc.
