Every year, YVAC shapes our giving in response to real community needs. This year, we’re centering ZAWADI—“the gift”—as our framework.

Our affinity groups are co-designed around out lived experiences as Black youth navigating intersections like young parenthood, mass incarceration, housing insecurity, and disabilities. Anyone who shares these experiences is invited to request a Zawadi gift.

Through the Power Fund, we support youth-led projects focused on education justice, mental health, and community care.

We’re hiring a Principal of Power — a leader ready to co-create programs, move resources, and help drive lasting change.

Detroit and Pittsburgh are among a dozen districts across the country with separate police forces.

• They spend over $10 million collectively on policing and “safety”. 🤥

• This highlights the growing presence of for-profit policing. 🤑💰
