🦃 Thanksgiving is coming!

It may feel like Thanksgiving is still a little ways off, but we all know how quickly the holidays arrive. I want to make sure the kids we serve have food to take home when school is out.

Over the next several weeks, I'd love to collect Thanksgiving foods to help fill our pantry and provide families with some of the foods that make the holiday feel special. 🍂

There are lots of easy ways to help! Add an extra item to your grocery cart, send something from our Amazon Wishlist, or make a monetary donation so we can purchase what we need most.

September is a month dedicated to bringing awareness to hunger and taking action to fight it. This mission is especially close to my heart at The Kindness Closet and at the schools.

Too many children come to school worried about something as basic as where their next meal will come from.

We believe that when we see a need, we meet the need. No judgment. Just kindness. 💙

No child at school should be hungry!

This food pantry is located inside a Title I elementary school so kids can receive help in a familiar, comfortable place without additional barriers.

Food insecurity affects more families than many people realize, and every donation helps ease that burden. The Kindness Closet provides for both in-school snacks/lunch extras and also take-home items for dinners.
