What would you become poor for?

Many people speak of high and lofty moral benchmarks and how [others] should meet them, but when push comes to shove, they won't lift a finger to do so themselves; let alone live it out to the fullest extent.

Christ is the opposite. The richest and most exalted Being, the Eternally-Existent One, left His throne to be humiliated, tortured and murdered by the people He came to save. He CHOSE to be treated as we ought to be, so that we could be treated as only He deserves to be treated.

There are no words in all the languages of earth or heaven to describe the love that Christ has for us. He is returning soon. Will you be part of His eternal inheritance?

Humanity blasphemes the Lord with what we deem 'love' or 'loving character.'

In looking upon the gruesome events of Calvary, we see what true love looks like: complete and total selflessness to the point of self-annihilation. What motivated this unmeasurable act of love?

The Suffering Servant lived in total abandonment to the will of God and the needs of others. Regardless of how many would accept or reject Him, God's core character is to save and cover our sins.

He determined that if He could redeem just one soul from the grave, His sacrifice and pain and toil was worth it. This is love. Christ is love.
