Access is advocacy in action. As of today, CANGD is officially in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.

This is more than an administrative milestone – This means:
• Reduced financial barriers for many families
• Greater access to pediatric audiology services in North Alabama
• Stronger long-term support for children who have hearing loss

On International Cochlear Implant Day, I’m reflecting on survey data from young adults with cochlear implants and what it means for the systems that support families.

Cochlear implants are not a childhood moment.
Lifespan access is not optional.

It is structural.

From infancy through adulthood, services must be protected.
