We are so thankful for Germani! Since joining our team in February, she has made a wonderful impact on the patients and families we serve.

As the Patient Coordinator for our NEXT Legacy Audiology program at CANGD, Germani helps create a welcoming and supportive experience from the very first interaction. Her smile brightens everyone’s day, her warm and positive demeanor immediately puts families at ease, and her work ethic is unmatched.

When asked what she enjoys most about working at CANGD, Germani shared:
“I love working directly with families and being part of a team that creates a welcoming, supportive experience for patients from the very first interaction. Patient advocacy means so much to me, and I am excited to continue building relationships and supporting every patient and family we serve.”

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Julibeth Jones, AuD, on earning her Certificate Holder - Educational Audiology credential!

The Certificate Program in Educational Audiology is a partnership between the Educational Audiology Association (EAA) and the American Board of Audiology (ABA) launched in August of 2025. The credential was designed to increase awareness of the roles, responsibilities, and audiology practices unique to the educational setting.

Dr. Jones is the first audiologist in Alabama to earn the credential. We are proud to celebrate this distinction and appreciate EAA's and ABA's efforts to highlight the specialized skills audiologists need to work effectively in schools.

Congratulations, Dr. Jones, on this well-earned achievement and your continued commitment to advancing educational audiology!

We are growing! The Center for Advancement of NEXTGEN Deaf (CANGD) is expanding our audiology team, and we are currently hiring a Pediatric Audiologist to join our team under our program, NEXT Legacy Audiology.

Our model emphasizes early identification, consistent access to sound, and continuity of care. We walk with children and families as they grow into the next generation of deaf and hard of hearing adults.

Before this moment, there was a vision.

For too long, families have been navigating this alone.

Families in North Alabama now have a place to call home.

And our CANGD team is here to ensure that no family walks alone, but moves forward together.
