The Alabama A&M University Alumni Association is proud to launch our 2026 Giving Campaign: Our HBCU, Our Responsibility—a collective call to action for alumni and friends to invest in the future of our beloved University.
This campaign brings us together to raise critical funds that directly support student scholarships, student retention, and priority University initiatives, ensuring that Alabama A&M continues to thrive for generations to come.

Our Impact—Because of You
Support for the Our HBCU, Our Responsibility campaign has been truly inspiring. Since 2021, dedicated alumni and friends have contributed nearly $300,000. These contributions and other fundraising initiatives have allowed the Alumni Association to make a meaningful difference by:
Awarding more than $260,000 in scholarships to incoming and current students
Contributing to the University’s 150th Anniversary Fundraising Efforts
Contributing to the Marching Maroon & White Band, supporting their historic appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Supporting Alabama A&M athletic and academic programs
Assisting with student recruitment, retention, and overall student success
While the campaign has achieved notable success, we fell short of our goal in 2025. With renewed commitment and collective effort, we can do more—and we must do more.

The 2026 Campaign
We are excited to officially launch the 2026 Giving Campaign on April 30, 2026, with a goal of raising at least
$100,000. All proceeds will support student scholarships, retention efforts, and priority initiatives during the 2026–2027 academic year.

We invite all alumni and friends to consider making a tax-deductible gift of $250. However, every contribution—no matter the size—makes a difference and is deeply appreciated.

We are excited to announce our upcoming Color Walk/Run in support of Mental Health Awareness and Su***de Prevention. This impactful community event will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with registration beginning at 1:00 PM. The event will begin and conclude on The Quad, creating a central gathering space for participants to connect, celebrate, and show their support for mental health advocacy and su***de prevention.

This event is designed to bring together students, families, alumni, and community members for an afternoon of fitness, unity, and purpose, while shining a powerful light on the importance of mental health education, advocacy, and prevention. Our goal is to foster connection, promote wellness, and create a supportive environment that extends beyond campus.

To help make this event a success, we are currently seeking donations, sponsorships, and volunteers. Contributions such as bottled water, sports drinks, fresh fruit, light snacks, and other refreshments are greatly appreciated. Our athletic teams will host stations along the route to provide refreshments and encouragement, ensuring a vibrant and supportive experience for all participants.
