We're racing to fund cutting-edge genetic therapy research to halt this thief and give these children back what PMLD takes. Every donation either fuels scientists working on breakthroughs that could stop the progression, preserve precious skills, and let kids laugh, play, and grow like they deserve or helps families affected by PMLD get the care they need. DUNKED!!! 🤩💦❤️

We are overjoyed and deeply thankful to announce that the amazing Janine Taylor, Director of Epworth Mothers Day Out / Preschool & Kindergarten in Huntsville, has generously volunteered to take the plunge in our dunking booth!

Janine is truly a gift from God to our family. When we first brought Lilly Lou to visit Epworth — nervous about how a private school would welcome a child with disabilities — Janine didn’t bat an eye. She welcomed us with open arms, worked tirelessly to make Lilly Lou feel comfortable, included, and loved every single day. She even nominated Lilly Lou for Hoover’s Heroes, shining a bright light on her story from the very beginning.

We are heartbroken at the thought of one day when Lilly Lou outgrows Epworth, because this school has become such a beautiful, supportive second family to her. Janine’s “go-get-’em” attitude and unwavering support have meant the world to us.

Epworth teachers and families — this is your chance 🤣! Come out and help give your wonderful director the splash she deserves (all in good fun, of course)! Let’s show Janine just how much her kindness and dedication mean to all of us.

“You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:14, 16

This verse perfectly describes Janine — she truly shines her light everywhere she goes, and we are so grateful for it.

DUNKED!!! 📺🚰❤️

We are bursting with gratitude and excitement to announce that the one and only Ben Hoover, Evening Anchor at WHNT News 19 and host of Hoover’s Heroes, has kindly volunteered to take the plunge in our dunking booth!

Ben has been such an incredible champion for our family. He was the first journalist to shine a spotlight on Lilly Lou’s story in his heartfelt “Hoover’s Heroes” segment, and just last night he welcomed us into the studio for a live interview. With nearly 25 years of award-winning experience as an anchor, reporter, and producer across multiple markets, Ben uses his platform to highlight everyday heroes — and we feel so blessed that he’s chosen to stand with Lilly Lou too.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Ben, for helping get Lilly’s story out to the community and for being willing to get absolutely soaked for a cause so close to our hearts. Who says news anchors can’t make a splash? We promise the water is nice and refreshing… mostly! 😉

And yes, Michael may have ran the segment a little long last night (to all who know him...IMAGINE THAT!)… so sorry, Ben! I hope the producers weren't too upset! We’re so grateful you let us share Lilly’s story, and we hope you’ll have us back on the air one day (maybe after we’ve practiced our timing a bit more)!

“Tell me the facts and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth and I’ll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in my heart forever.”

This is going to be such a joyful, family-friendly night!
