Saturday afternoon we had our first ever Jr. High showcase after youth finals were over. It was a pretty fun event with the two IL jr. high teams playing each other one last time. During half time we hosted games and prizes for the players, and youth that attended. We followed the activities with a cookout for all that attended with some yards games for everyone to hang out and enjoy. We thank everyone that attended the event, and we hope you had as much fun as we did. We are looking at possibly doing similar events to end the seasons in the future and hope it gets bigger every year.

As the season has ended, we would like to thank all of our coaches for all the time they have put in this year improving the kids' skills. We would also like to congratulate The U11 Huntsville 1 team with coach Lacher on their second place finish this year.

The final day of soccer youth tournaments is tomorrow and it's going to be another gorgeous day! Come out to watch our youth play this weekend at the Huntsville Lion's Park and visit the concession stand while you're here! We have donuts, breakfast sandwiches, bananas and juices for breakfast, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos and cheese, soft pretzels, chips, candy, Gatorade, soda and water. Gathering Grounds will not be here this weekend BUT WE WILL HAVE coffee and hot chocolate at the concession stand.

A few important notes:
1. There is to be no parking at the Post Office during soccer events. Please leave those spaces open for post office patrons.
2. Please respect the caution tape we put up. We have had people tearing it down and parking where it is restricted. The tape is there by order of the Village of Huntsville.
3. Under no circumstances is there to be any vehicles on the walking paths! The paths are there for pedestrians only.
4. No smoking (including e-cigarettes or vapes) is allowed in the park.
5. Please help to keep our park clean. Several trash and recycle cans will be placed around the park.
Lastly, please adhere to the spectator code of conduct. We are all volunteers and the children are there to have fun!

Attention Huntsville and Indian Lake youth and Junior High soccer players: Join us for an afternoon of fun at Huntsville Lion's Park for our first Indian Lake Soccer Showcase to close out our 2025 soccer season on Saturday, October 18. We will kick off the festivities with a Junior High soccer game starting at 2 p.m. During halftime we will have a raffle drawing (come before the game to get your free raffle tickets) and mini competitions for all with prizes! After the game we will have a cookout with hotdogs, yard games, and music! Also, bring your own beverages (non-alcoholic).

Items leftover in the concession stand
(soda, water, chips, candy, etc.) will be selling at cost.

The Concession Stand will be open this evening at 5:30 for packaged snacks and drinks during the last regular season home game of the Indian Lake Junior High at Huntsville Lion's Park! Come out and support our team! Tournaments will start next week!

Wow! We have a busy week coming up!

We will have soccer games in Lakeview again this Saturday, September 27.

Monday, September 29 is Soccer Youth Night at the Indian Lake High School Stadium. The high school team will be hosting Bellefontaine and the game starts at 7:30. Youth players are to arrive by 6:45 and are to wear their soccer shirt/jersey to get in free! Please find your coach upon arrival so they can get children lined up to form a tunnel for the high school players to run through.

Thursday, October 2 is the Indian Lake Homecoming Parade starting at 6:30. We will load YOUTH teams U6 through U13 in the Lakeview Harbor parking lot starting at 5 p.m. and will move to our spot in the parade around 6 p.m. The parade will take place rain or shine so dress your children accordingly. Coaches and/or parents can purchase candy for their players/children to toss (underhand only) out to spectators. Coaches will be walking beside the trailer to keep an eye on the children. The JUNIOR HIGH team will be walking in front of the trailer personally handing out items to spectators. Right now our positions in the parade are 21 & 22. Don't forget to have your players wear their soccer shirts/jerseys!

Saturday, October 4 will be the last youth soccer games of the regular season at Huntsville fields. Huntsville will host tournaments that will start on October 11 and end on October 18. Let's finish strong these next two Saturdays and good luck in the tournaments Huntsville!
