November Adoption Promotion at the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter



The Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter's November adoption promotion, themed "Thanks for Giving Me a Home," runs through Saturday, Nov. 29. In celebration of National Adopt A Senior Pet Month and Thanksgiving, adoption fees will be waived for animals eight years and older.

Standard adoption protocols still apply. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment call 410-535-7387.

Calvert County Government Relocates Payment and Document Drop Boxes



The Calvert County Department of Public Works, General Services Division, has moved document drop boxes from 205 Main St. to the new Calvert County Administration Building (CAB) at 150 Main St., Prince Frederick.

Blue drop boxes for Public Works, Environmental Health and Planning & Zoning are now located in the CAB parking lot near the northeast loading dock.

The drop box at 175 Main St. will remain in use for the Treasurer’s Office until further notice.

"A Main Street Christmas" Returns to Prince Frederick Starting Dec. 5



Calvert County invites the community to celebrate the season with festive, family-friendly events during “A Main Street Christmas.” Enjoy free holiday activities, live music and more in downtown Prince Frederick.

Friday, Dec. 5: Tree Lighting, 4:30–6:30 p.m., Calvert County Courthouse Lawn
Saturday, Dec. 13: Parade, 10 a.m. to noon, downtown Prince Frederick
Saturday, Dec. 13: Old-fashioned Christmas at Linden House, noon to 4 p.m.

Entries are now being accepted for the 2025 Calvert County Christmas Parade. Local businesses and organizations are invited to join us for this fun and festive annual tradition. Please complete the online application to enter.
