Our Maggie came from here. Can you help them out?
🐾 The Reality of Rescue 🐾
We are contacted and tagged regularly about dogs that need somewhere to go, and the truth is, we have the room to help. What we don't currently have is the funding to responsibly keep bringing dogs in.
On average, it costs Villa La Beast about $1,200 to rescue one dog. That covers transportation and fuel, initial veterinary care, food including special diets when needed, and the expenses of getting that dog settled and cared for.
Villa La Beast does receive donations, and we are extremely grateful for every one of them. Unfortunately, the donations coming in simply don't add up to the cost of taking in another dog.
For a long time, I've personally covered the difference, at times spending around $8,000 a month keeping Villa La Beast operating. I simply can't continue carrying that expense personally.
With enough support to cover those initial costs, we can continue opening our doors to dogs that need us. Reaching that $1,200 mark gives us what we need to confidently take on another rescue without taking resources away from the animals already in our care.
And it doesn't take one person giving $1,200:
🐾 120 people giving $10 = $1,200
🐾 60 people giving $20 = $1,200
🐾 24 people giving $50 = $1,200
🐾 12 people giving $100 = $1,200
The dogs are out there. The calls and tags are coming in. We have the space, and we're ready to do the work. We just need the funding to make it possible.
