Yesterday was our year end Carnival! Students were treated to delicious BBQ and some fun games. Thank you to our awesome trio of cooks and everyone who helped to make this a fun and memorable event for our kids.

We didn’t want to spoil any surprises last week. The FEO was able to give our students a chance to make self-care baskets for someone special on Mother’s Day weekend. They picked items and had them wrapped by our parent volunteers. They also celebrated Cinco de Mayo earlier in the week, and the FEO made quesadillas and set up a fixings bar to go with it.

The Manor Plains FEO had a very busy week celebrating and showing our appreciation for the incredible teachers and staff at Manor Plains and Wilson Tech during Teacher Appreciation Week.

This year’s theme was “Thank You for Raising the Bar,” and our volunteers worked hard all week to create special treats and events for our staff. Monday kicked off with a breakfast bar and iced coffee bar, Tuesday featured a nacho bar, today we treated everyone to a ramen bar, and we’ll end the week with a delicious dessert bar.

A huge thank you to all of the families who donated, contributed, and helped make this week so special. Your support allowed us to recognize the dedication, care, and hard work our teachers and staff give to our students every single day.

We extend our congratulations to Mrs. Shek on being recognized at the SCOPE dinner by Western Suffolk BOCES. We appreciate her hard work and dedication to our students and staff.

Our students celebrated Pi day a day early. We had pizza pie and assorted mini pies.

We had a fantastic week at Manor Plains! Our students celebrated the Lunar New Year by learning about its traditions and customs, painting their names in Korean, and even tasting delicious Chinese dumplings. It was such a fun and meaningful way to explore culture and start the year together.

While the students were learning, we made sure our staff felt the love too! To help everyone “Bee Healthy” during these cold winter weeks, the FEO organized a wellness bar filled with nourishing goodies to keep our teachers energized and feeling their best. A special thank you to LMNT for generously donating drink packets to support our staff’s health and hydration!

From cultural celebrations to staff appreciation, we love bringing creative, thoughtful programs to our school community. 🐝✨
