Today’s Gripe and Grill was a wonderful chance for our Vanity Fair residents and Harmony House staff to come together over good food and conversation.

A big thank you to Property Manager Jimmie Foltz for serving up hamburgers, hot dogs with homemade hot dog chili, baked beans, and coleslaw. We are grateful for the care and effort that went into making the meal feel welcoming and special.

Moments like this help build connection, strengthen community, and remind us that shared meals can be a meaningful part of supporting one another.

Thank you, Jimmie, for helping make today such a great gathering!

A big thank you to Holy Spirit Orthodox Church for their thoughtful donation of snacks for our neighbors at Harmony House!

Simple gifts like these help us offer comfort, care, and a little extra nourishment to the folks we serve each day. We are so grateful for community partners who continue to show up with kindness and generosity.

Thank you, Holy Spirit Orthodox Church, for helping us care for our neighbors! 💙

Please join us in welcoming our new intern, Mia, to Harmony House!

We are so excited to have Mia joining our team and sharing her time, energy, and heart for service with our clients and community. Interns play such an important role in helping us carry out our mission, and we are grateful to have Mia learning and serving alongside us.

"Hi! My name is Mia Francis, and I am a Marshall University student majoring in sociology! I am looking forward to doing work that makes a lasting impact and helps our community. I am thankful to be a part of this mission with Harmony House. I live in Huntington with my best friends, and I enjoy music, all forms of art, and animals (especially cats). As an upcoming senior in my undergraduate years, I am excited to see where this journey takes me. :)"

Welcome to Harmony House, Mia! We’re so glad you’re here!

☀️Help us keep Vanity Fair residents cool this summer.

As temperatures rise, Harmony House is asking for donations of new or gently used window air conditioning units in good working condition for clients living in our Vanity Fair apartments.

Many of our residents are working hard to maintain stability, rebuild their lives, and make their apartments feel like home. A window AC unit may seem simple, but during the heat of summer, it can make a huge difference in someone’s comfort, health, and safety.

Donated units will go directly to Harmony House clients living at Vanity Fair who need help staying cool.

If you have a window AC unit to donate, please contact Shelly Adkins 304-563-1664 or drop it off during business hours.

Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors and support safe, stable housing in our community. 💙

It's Wish List Wednesday!

Right now, Harmony House has an urgent need for new adult underwear for the folks we serve. It may not be the most talked-about donation item, but it is one of the most needed.

Clean, new underwear helps support comfort, health, confidence, and dignity. And the truth is, our supply is running very low.

We are currently needing:

• New men’s underwear
• New women’s underwear
• Socks

No ifs, ands, or butts about it, this simple gift can make an immediate difference.

Donations can be dropped off at Harmony House, or you can shop directly from our Amazon Wish List here:
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2SBJ149LOTP2D?type=wishlist&filter=persistent_all&sort=priority&viewType=list

Thank you for helping us meet this urgent need with care and compassion.

Harmony House is proud to serve as a collection site for period products in support of United Way of the River Cities’ Week of Action!

From now through June 12, we will be collecting new, unopened period products, including pads, tampons, liners, and other menstrual hygiene items.

Access to period products is a basic need, and donations like these help support dignity, health, and comfort for individuals in our community.

Donations can be dropped off at Harmony House during regular business hours.

Thank you for helping us support this important effort! ❤

Thank you to everyone who supported our Panera fundraiser and helped us raise some dough! 🍞 🥪 🥖

Whether you stopped by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, or helped spread the word, we are so grateful. Community support makes our work possible and helps Harmony House continue providing essential resources and housing support for our neighbors.

A special thank-you to Panera Bread for hosting this fundraiser and giving back to the community.

We are grateful to United Way of the River Cities for awarding Harmony House a Safety Net grant to support our work with individuals and families affected by homelessness in our community.

In this video, our Assistant Director, Craig Manns, shares our appreciation for this meaningful support and what it makes possible for the people we serve.

This grant helps us continue providing essential resources, connection, and care to our neighbors who need it most. Thank you, United Way of the River Cities for investing in a stronger, more compassionate community.
