Step Into the Story with us for two special Sensory Hours during our Character Celebration!

Join us Friday, August 21, or Saturday, August 22, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. for a quieter, lower-sensory museum experience featuring limited admission, lower lighting, hands-on storybook activities, and a chance to meet Llama Llama.

Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite book, TV, or movie character and come ready to play, create, and explore.

These special Sensory Hours are FREE thanks to the Jeremiah Tree Foundation, but space is limited and advance registration is required.

Building Safer Responses Through CIT Training

When compassion meets preparation, communities are stronger. Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training equips first responders and community partners with the skills to recognize mental health crises, de-escalate challenging situations, and connect individuals with the resources they need. Together, we're fostering safer interactions, reducing stigma, and strengthening relationships between emergency responders and the communities they serve.

It's almost here! This Friday July 31st at Tracy Park!
Our Back-to-School Bash will help you get prepared for school next month! The first 300 kids will be guaranteed a backpack and some school supplies. Kids must be present to receive supplies!
Free haircuts, free hot dogs, and music! Prepare yourself for a dance party on the stage - Holly Gail will be there to DJ - and yes, song requests are always allowed.
We love seeing all of you every year, so come hang out with us on Friday!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the communities in Lewis and Upshur counties that have been affected by the recent flooding, as well as the many partners of the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon WV who are working tirelessly to assess conditions and identify needs.

The West Virginia United Ways have established the Lewis/Upshur Flood Relief Fund to provide direct assistance to individuals and families impacted by the flooding. 100% of funds donated will be used directly to support neighbors during this time of need.
