*ANNOUNCEMENT*
RCBB has decided to discontinue our Chow Pal Pantry. A new one has opened in Culloden, so if you know of anyone in need, please direct them to Scouts Honor. Thank you.

We appreciate everyone who has donated and helped us with this effort over the past few years, without you we could not have helped the families who needed that temporary help to keep their beloved companions with them through hard times.

RCBB still has a FIX-IT program and hopefully we will be able to focus a bit more or this effort in the coming new year.

Thanks to our wonderful supporters, we have been able to sponsor 5 spay/neuters so far this year in our community! (and have 3 more scheduled)

DID YOU KNOW? Statistics show that on average only 1 in 600 "Pit Bulls" find a forever home once they are in the shelter system. (The American Pit Bull Terrier, mixes and other dogs labeled "pit bull" due to their appearance) This is because of breed specific legislation, fear, ignorance and irresponsible breeding.

FIX-IT!

FIX-IT is a Pawsitive Project through River Cities Bully Buddies that offers spay/neuter assistance in the immediate tri-state area of WV,OH, KY for dog's considered "pit bulls". Our spay/neuter assistance program is for individuals and families on a limited income. Together we can lower the number of unwanted puppies being born in our area.

This includes spay or neuter, pain shot to be done at Help For Animals in Barboursville. They will also include a free rabies vaccine if needed.

(A female dog and her offspring can produce over 67,000 in just 6 years!)

We also ask if you are able to pay for a spay or neuter as a gift for someone please do so. The most effective way to stop abandonment and killing is to spay and neuter (and educate)! THIS Saturday "August 12th" 9am-1pm @ Tractor Supply in South Point, Ohio. Bring your dogs and cats out and get a "nose to tail" exam AND vaccines AND a monthly dose of flea and tick preventive by a DMV for ONLY $25! There will also be Adorable kittens up for adoption "application process is needed to adopt". And some goodies for sale for your Fur-babies! Because no one should go hungry!

Please don't forget to share RCBB's Chow Pal Pantry page! Our pantry helps local families by offering temporary food assistance so they can keep their companion animals through times of hardship instead of feeling forced to surrender them. We also would like to help people feeding feral cat colonies also along with assisting other local rescue efforts.

If you are in need, or know someone in need in our community (we can help in Huntington,WV and immediate surrounding tri-state areas), please contact us through FB or at [email protected].
