Greater Huntington Boating Council Since 1985, the Greater Huntington Boating Council has served the needs of the Huntington, NY recreational boating community.

Since 1985, the Greater Huntington Council of Yacht and Boating Clubs has served the needs of the recreational boating community by encouraging the sport of boating; by promoting safe seamanship and navigation; and by supporting marine safety and environmental protection issues. The Council serves as the boater's advocate before local governments. Through it's member organizations the Council represents the interests of over 4,000 recreational boating families in the town of Huntington.

Sail boaters WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We had a call with the organizers of the SailAhead program, and they need a few more boats for Sunday's (7/28) "Take a Vet Sailing" event. There are about 13 more veterans on the waiting list, and we're aiming to get everyone on board, plus have a backup sailboat.

If you have a sailboat and can help out from 11:30 am to around 4 pm, please message me ASAP. I'm hoping that, between our 22 clubs, we can come up with 3 sailboats. This will be my third year participating, and I absolutely love it!

Come on down to Mill Dam Park for a day of fun and entertainment! We are officially open and ready to kick off the festivities. Rusty Spur is about to take the stage and rock your socks off with their amazing music. There will be food vendors, games, and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Don't miss out on this exciting event happening today until 4 P.M. Bring your friends and family to make some great memories and soak up the sun in the beautiful park setting.
