Over the past couple of years, HCCOA & Huntington Area Transportation have worked hard to improve the way we serve Huntington County and we’re pretty proud of the progress we’ve made!
We provide 30,000+ rides each year, helping people throughout our community get where they need to go.
Our on time trip performance has increased from approximately 86% to over 90%.
We’ve grown from just 2 driver tablets to 18, giving our team better tools for scheduling, communication, and providing reliable transportation.
We’ve also implemented better scheduling, GPS and additional safety features, expanded transportation options, and continued looking for ways to make every mile and every hour of service count.
And the best part? We’re serving more efficiently. Our trips have remained strong while reducing the miles and service hours needed to provide them.
But these numbers represent so much more than statistics.
They represent rides to work, medical appointments, the grocery store, community activities, and the places that matter to the people we serve. 💙
We’re incredibly thankful for our amazing transportation manager, drivers, dispatchers, admin coordinator, riders, seniors, volunteers, community partners, donors, and supporters who have helped us get here and continuing supporting us! We couldn't do any of this without all of you!
We’ve come a long way and we’re excited about what is to come.
