Cabell County Family Resource Network The Cabell County Family Resource Network is a program of FaithHealth Appalachia dedicated to bridging the gap.

We connect families to essential resources, foster collaboration among community partners, and empower individuals to thrive. Since its incorporation in September 1993, the Cabell County Family Resource Network (CCFRN) has brought together a broad-based representation of partners, including business representatives, consumers, and service providers from health, education, housing, and social servi

ces. These partners are critical to improving the well-being of our families and children. The CCFRN now operates under FaithHealth Appalachia. FHA and the CCFRN envision a coordinated, community-based social service system responsive to the needs of families and effective in enhancing the success of individuals and families to responsibly achieve their goals.

Today we had the pleasure of setting up at the Lincoln County Community Baby Shower. One of our initiatives is access to sustainable period products. During the event, we got to connect one-on-one with moms and educate on period cups and give them free ones to take home. We couldn’t do this without our partnership with Pixie Cup!

Registration is open for our United We Prepare Emergency Preparedness Workshop 6:00–7:30 p.m., October 6 and the Woody Williams Center for Advanced Learning and Careers.

Learn how to prepare before disaster strikes, build an emergency kit, protect your finances and know what steps to take afterward.

The workshop is FREE, and attendees will receive a disaster bag, enjoy light snacks and raffle prizes, plus have a chance to WIN a solar-powered generator!

Lincoln County folks! We received a very large free shipment of period cups. Did you know that girls and women often miss school and work due to not being able to afford period products?

If you’re in Lincoln county, please go and find out more and take home a FREE cup! We are so excited to be able to partner with different organizations on this initiative 💕

Huge thanks to Pixie Cup for making this happen with their Buy One, Give One program!

We want to bring awareness to period poverty, when someone doesn’t have reliable access to menstrual products because of financial or other barriers. Period products are a necessity, not a luxury, and no one should have to miss school, work, activities, or other important parts of life because they can’t afford the products they need.

Join the Lincoln County Health Department for a non judgmental, educational session where we’ll share information, tips, resources, and ways we can help break the stigma surrounding menstrual health. This is for women age 18+

AND participants will receive a FREE menstrual cup to take home!

MMO is THIS SATURDAY, August 29th! 💚

This weekend, Marshall students and community leaders will be providing basic healthcare services to the people of Huntington. Join us Saturday morning and our team will do whatever we can to help you with your health; no payment, ID, or insurance is required. We will be providing our usual services:

• Primary medical care & screenings
• Prescription Eye Glasses & Eye Care
• Blood pressure & glucose checks
• OTC Medications
• Mental health services
• Physical therapy services
• Oral Health services
• Health Department Screenings
• ECCC Preventative Screenings Sign Up
• Health education & referrals
• Clothing and hygiene items

We’ve also received a very kind donation of children’s clothing that we will be distributing this weekend. If you or someone you know could benefit, come down and give us a visit!
