WV Birth to Three RAU IV Making a referral is easy. Give us a call or email and we'll take it from there! Our services are home-based and are offered at no cost to families.

The first three years of life are the most important years in a child's development. West Virginia Birth to Three provides early intervention services to children under the age of 3 who have delays or disabilities, or are at risk for delays, as well as support to their families. To be eligible for WV Birth to Three services, an infant or toddler under the age of three can either have a delay in one or more areas of their development or be at risk of possibly having delays in the future. Our program will evaluate your child's ability to:

-Learn (cognitive development)
-Move, see, and hear (physical/motor development)
-Communicate and understand other's communication (speech and language development)
-Respond to and relate with others (social and emotional development)
-Eat, dress, and care for daily living needs (adaptive development)

Some children may automatically qualify for services through Birth to Three. For example, a child may be born with an established condition (hearing, visual, etc.) OR with a condition typically associated with a developmental delay (Down Syndrome, Autism, etc.) OR a combination of biological and other risk factors which may include family stressors. 🎃 GHPRD HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL IS COMING TO RITTER PARK THIS SATURDAY! 👻

The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District is excited to announce our first-ever Halloween Carnival, happening Saturday, October 17th from 5–9 PM at Ritter Park!

We’re bringing an evening of FREE family fun to the park, featuring:
🎢 Carnival rides
🎈 Inflatables
🎯 Carnival games
🏆 Prizes
🎨 Face painting
🛍️ Local vendors
🌭 Food trucks
🎃 And more!

Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and get ready for a night of fun for the whole family!

Join us this month as we welcome Candice from River Valley Child Development Services (RVCDS) as our special guest reader! Candice will be sharing a fun, Halloween-themed story with families and children during our October Parent Partner Family Connections Story Time.

Story Time is a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading, spend quality time together, and learn about community resources that support children and families.

We are excited to partner with River Valley Child Development Services and highlight the valuable services they provide to families in our community.

We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with families, share resources, and celebrate expecting parents and families in our community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and to the organizers for hosting such a special event. It was a great day filled with support, information, and community connections for families.
