Sharing the success and positive impact of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Raleigh County!

𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 💚

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on a powerful example of our mission in action that supports children, families, and communities through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL).

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of West Virginia recently received $35,000 in New Direction grant funding from the Raleigh County Commission. This support has directly strengthened early literacy efforts across the county, especially for families with limited access to books and educational resources.

With the New Direction project, our aim was to reach up to 2,000 Raleigh County children, working in partnership with:
• Healthy Grandfamilies
• Raleigh County Public Library (RCPL) & the RCPL Bookmobile

✨ We are proud to share that this goal has not only been met…but exceeded!

• 500 new children have been enrolled in the program
• January books were delivered to 2,020 children countywide

Through the RCPL Bookmobile, we’ve been able to serve families in rural areas with:
• Limited access to books
• Transportation barriers
• No Internet access to enroll in programs

This project ensures that every child, regardless of circumstance, receives the gift of early literacy.📚
