Keith Albee Theater Organ The KA Theater Organ resides in the historic Keith Albee Theater, Huntington, WV Other pipework and chests come from Moller Opus 5098 and WurliTzer Opus 1801.

The Keith Albee Theater Organ is a partial reinstallation of the original Opus 1780 WurliTzer and an installation of Opus 1790 with additional chests, toy counter, percussions and pipework from the 1926 Philadelphia Orpheum Kimball and another Wurlitzer from Wisconsin.

Keyboards at the ready. Pedal board waiting to be installed. Console shell awaiting the stop-rail, keyboards, and pedalboard. Reconfigured stop rail with all new SAMs. New combination machine at the ready! Now all that is left is to assemble them and wire them to the pipework in the chambers.

The stop-rail restoration/refurbishing has been completed and returned to the theater. The console shell is in the orchestra pit and the keyboards are being reassembled and adjusted. In the coming week we will begin to reassemble the console and begin testing out the system. Pictures to follow.

We've been working on an offset chest to hold the 8' octave of the Trivo English Post Horn. The post horn was not properly racked in the previous two installations and the CC, CC #, DD, DD # resonators have chosen to go their own way. New boot supports and a new scallop board will help to correct that.

This past week we have been installing the Main Chamber regulators. Pictures to follow. Winding the cube box and the chests are the main priority. The cube box has 3 regulators. One for the 2 4-rank chests; one for the Oboe; and one for the pedal offsets. Originally Wurlitzer winded the entire Main Chamber pipework with one large regulator. One regulator was designated for the relay, which was in a separate room, and one regulator was for the Vox Humana. So far, it's been a fairly easy task of placing the regulators under the chests and getting the windlines ready.

Spent time with the main chamber Peterson relay: cleaning, installing motherboards and adding console wiring and wiring from some offset chests.

8' Viole 'd Orchestre and 8' Celeste offsets are installed. The 8' Horn Diapason offset is in place.

Work in progressing. We are working on the Main Chamber installation. The 3 rank chest for the main Tibia, Vox, and Trumpet is almost complete. Winding is being connected and the bottom magnet boards are being refurbished and rewired. Horn diapason offset chest has been releathered, rewired, and is now in place with pipes mounted. The offset string and celeste chest has been releathered and rewired. It is sitting on bearers and the rack mount has been installed. It should be ready for final installation this coming week.

Work is progressing on the Main Chamber installation. 3 rank chest installed for the small tibia, vox, and trumpet. Offset chest for the Horn Diapason has been releathered thanks to Kanawha Organ Works, and is installed. String offset chest has been releathered thanks again to Kanawha Organ Works and awaits installation.
