Last night we posted about the missing cat we were able to trap, and how she was so sick she had to go to Merritts Creek Veterinary Center then transferred to the Tri State Animal ER.

She had her emergency spay, antibiotics, pain medication, iv fluids, X-rays and seems to be slowly improving !

She has to stay another night at the ER, and hopefully will be stable enough to go home tomorrow.

Thanks to you all, we have raised $401 to help the family on her very expensive weekend vet visit.

🚨🚨 We were asked to help find a missing kitty and went to the house last Friday to set up a monitoring station. She showed up later that night and we rushed over at 3am 😴 to set a trap. She looked really rough and didn’t have interest in the food so we did this all week long, averaging 3/4 hours of sleep a night tops and stressed and worried because she looked so bad.

We were sure she had something wrong and wasn’t wanting to eat. Last night after many different ideas and foods we finally caught her 🪤

We weren’t able to get her into a vet early today but Merrits Creek did squeeze her in this evening and as we thought, she is a very sick girl.

She is half her size, dehydrated, anemic and has to have emergency pyometra surgery. Her owners are beside themselves and as you can imagine; the worry and stress of her being gone 2 weeks, excitement from being reunited with her, and now the cost of labs, X-rays, surgery, antibiotics is overwhelming. They have been quoted ~$1300 just for today, and we’d like to help cover some of the bill. She’ll be transferred to the ER tonight and back to the vet tomorrow.

SNIP N’ TIP THURSDAY 2.0…..
After getting all of yesterday’s snip n’ tip kitties settled in for surgery we headed out to check on a tiny kitten with a McFlurry lid around his neck. We are happy to report that McFlurry, his 3 siblings and Momma McFlurry were all safely trapped and the ice cream “cone of shame” has been removed🍦🎉🍦🎉

Trapping 5 extra cats with no plan is not ideal but sometimes things just seem to fall into place so we scramble and figure it out.

Huge Thank You to Clayton Dudding and Merritts Creek Veterinary Center for squeezing us in and doing a last minute spay for Momma McFlurry😻😻

Josie and the Pussycats are in for Snip N’Tip today ( Gen X here🙋‍♀️) along with their old buddy Tiger, who has a bad limp and is all beat up from years of TomCattery. Josie has some sort of funk on her head, at minimum she will need an antibiotic shot. If you can help cover today’s Spay/Neuters plus extras we would very much appreciate it!

No time to rest, we’re off to trap a feral kitten that has a McFlurry lid stuck around her head😓. Wish us luck!!

The last few weeks our Thursday Snip N Tips have been relatively uneventful. While we are very thankful, today our luck has run out. Today’s crew includes a very spicy community cat named Sunshine who has a very bloody injured ear. We are awaiting the vets exam but hoping it is just a fight injury that can be treated with an antibiotic shot. Piper is another spicy community cat who has what looks like bite wounds on her back and mastitis. We can’t blame her for being spicy, she’s probably been in a lot of pain for a long time and had litter after litter. A few others will likely need antibiotic shots for injuries from mating and fighting. Lastly, we’re heading out to catch a community cat who has a fast growing mass on his leg and is losing weight. We do not have emergency medical funds at this time but we cannot let him suffer. The caretaker said he has no official name so we shall call him Sterling. Prayers, positive vibes, good mojo and DONATIONS are very much appreciated!

It has been a busy week. Sunday cat trapping, Monday TNR surgeries, Tuesday dog trapping, Wednesday cat trapping, Thursday more TNR surgeries. I’ve lost count but between dogs and cats I think we’re on day 10 of one or the other 😰🥵

Thankfully, with the exception of one little fluffy needing eye meds, all are healthy😻
That means that every $20 donation will completely cover a neuter and $25 will cover a spay when added to the amount we will be reimbursed by our Dept of Agriculture grant!! Of course every dollar counts and is very much appreciated!

We’re working on our 26th dog trapped this year, and between gas and supplies, it gets expensive.

We’d like to raise $100 -$150 to purchase a bulk box of bacon, bowls and propane for the camp stove.
