Troop 23's Senior Patrol Leader, Andreas Psarris, began working on his Eagle Scout Project in July.

Andreas' project involves refurbishing the garden and pond area at Walt Whitman High School in Suffolk County. Andreas and volunteers from Troop 23’s youth, adults, and parents have completed laying mulch, painting benches, planting new plants, clearing weeds, and installing a new bench, and working on why the pond loses too much water.

We wish Andreas good luck in completing his project and achieving Eagle Scout rank!

Last month, Troop 23 embarked on their annual Summer camp trip to Baiting Hollow Scout Camp!

The troop had a blast, spending a week in fun merit badge classes, activities, competitions, and meeting new people!

Our very own Senior Patrol Leader, Andreas Psarris, is also on the 2025 Baiting Hollow Camp staff, and Patrol Leader Theodore Bournis, who joined later in July.

Safe to say that we will be back at Baiting Hollow again next summer, thank you to the incredible camp staff for another great summer!
