The Coal Miners Planning Committee The Coal Miners Planning Committee
A none profit group of volunteers that work to meet city goals for the town & community

03/17/2026

The Coal Mining Planning Committee recently held a final vote regarding the remaining funds. It was unanimously decided to allocate these funds in a way that directly benefits our community.

A portion of the funds will be used to purchase much-needed equipment for our town’s police department—resources that are long overdue and essential for them to safely and effectively perform their duties. The committee treasurer is currently in the process of ordering these items.

Any remaining funds will be donated to our local VFW chapter to support their ongoing volunteer efforts and service to our community.

The committee worked diligently to raise this money and felt strongly that it should be put to good use within the town, rather than left sitting unused in an account. As the committee has now officially dissolved, we believe this is the best way to honor the original purpose of these funds—serving and strengthening our community.

Official Committee Update

We would like to clarify that the items currently being sold are the property of the Coal Miner Planning Commitee. The sale was voted on and approved by the committee on October 14, 2025 and is being handled only by current committee members.

We are aware that a former committee member has made comments suggesting involvement in committee decisions and activities. This individual has not been a part of the committee since January 14, 2025 and is not authorized to speak on our behalf, handle committee property, or represent the organization in any capacity.

If anyone has questions regarding sales, events, or committee matters, please contact the current committee board directly through this page.

CANCELED - are working hard on this years maze ( with a twist ) we’ve added escape room puzzles and you will have to find the key to enter each room before you can escape. Groups of 3 - 4
$10 per side, per person. Side one is the 𐌔𐌄𐌓𐌉𐌀𐌋 𐌊𐌉𐌋𐌋𐌄𐌓 side and will have 4 rooms to escape, side 2 is the (𝙕𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 ) and will also have 4 rooms to escape. If you’re good with puzzles, like the thrill of being scared, this is it. To add to your suspense you will be timed in each room, by the characters if time runs out , welll 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol ( actually you’ll move on to the next room ) but it’s a challenge you’ll want to make it.
