Huntington County 4-H to Host Winter Maker’s Market at the Café

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Huntington County 4-H Future Leaders Club invites the community to support local youth at the 4-H Winter Maker’s Market at the Café on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Café of Hope, 900 E. State St., Huntington.

The event will feature a variety of handmade items created by local 4-H members, showcasing their creativity, talents, and entrepreneurial skills. Shoppers can browse unique crafts, artwork, seasonal decorations, and other handmade goods while supporting young entrepreneurs.

All proceeds from sales will go directly to the individual youth vendors.

The Winter Maker’s Market offers community members an opportunity to shop locally, find one-of-a-kind gifts, and encourage the next generation of makers and entrepreneurs.

The event is organized by the Huntington County 4-H Future Leaders Club.

We’re excited to kick off another great year of Junior Leaders! 🎉

Listed below are the meeting and event dates planned so far for the upcoming 2026–2027 year. Be sure to save the dates and watch for more information as we get closer to each event!

📍 IMPORTANT LOCATION CHANGE:
Junior Leader meetings will now be held at the Huntington County Extension Office instead of the Fairgrounds.

🍂🎃 First up — our FALL PARTY on October 15th!
We hope to see all of our Junior Leaders there for a fun evening as we kick off the new year together!

Huntington County 4-H had a very productive month in August.

Huntington County 4-H sent over 150 static (non-animal) projects to compete at the State Fair this year and were blown away by some of the results!

Huntington 4-H received 5 Project Champions (Sweepstakes) in the following:

Hattie Landrum : Arts & Crafts-Basic
Andrew Sorg : Electric
Jacey Fairchild : Forestry
Sarah Sorg : Wildlife
Joseph Sorg : Small Engines

Andrew's Electric project went further and received Best Of Show out of over 10,000 static projects entered in the state!!!

Congratulations to ALL our 4-H members who competed at the State Fair! Your hard work defiantly paid off! Look forward to seeing what comes next year!

Huntington County 4-H had a very productive month in August.

At the beginning of August, Huntington 4-H sent two members to teach the Art Of Nature program with DeKalb 4-H members to a 4-H Camp up in Sitka Alaska. This week long program taught Sitka 4-H members how nature and art work hand and hand through scientific sketches, drones, mapping, soil science and so much more. The trip also included time to learn about the native culture and natural resources in Alaska.

This amazing 4-H trip is open to all Huntington 4-H members in grades 9-12. Please be on the look out for when the 2027 Trip Applications become available.
