The SCVJFA reminds you that our Election Meeting will be held this Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Location: Huntington Manor Fire Department at 1650 New York Avenue, Huntington Station
Time: breakfast begins at 8:30, with the meeting starting at 9:00 am.

There will be no presenter for this meeting due to the extensive work that needs to be done. The agenda will include short speeches from each candidate, elections, swearing in of the new officers, and a farewell to the 2025 executive officers. We hope to see you there!

**OFFICER ELECTIONS MEETING CANCELED**
Due to the chance for winter storms, out of precaution, our officer elections meeting scheduled for tomorrow, December 14th, has been canceled. Please keep an eye out for communication for a rescheduled date.

REMINDER: This Saturday (9/20), the SCVJFA is hosting a vehicle extrication drill at the Selden Fire Department training facility. Being a hands-on drill, ALL participating juniors are expected to have full PPE, including turnout gear, helmet, eye protection, gloves. See you all then.

On Friday, August 1st, 2025, the Suffolk County Junior Firefighters Association will host its second annual barbecue, commencing at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at 9:00 p.m. We invite all members to join us at the Smithtown Fire Department River property. For directions, please note that the entrance to the property is situated east of 419 West Main Street, Smithtown, NY 11787.

The Suffolk County Junior Firefighters Association is pleased to announce a raffle fundraiser with a Yeti 45 Hard Cooler as the grand prize and a Yeti M12 Backpack Soft Cooler as the secondary prize. Tickets are priced at $10.00 each and include two drawing numbers. The raffle drawing will be held on September 1st, 2025. We wish all participants the best of luck.

We strongly encourage all members to attend and look forward to seeing everyone there!

On Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Suffolk County Junior Firefighters Association conducted a hands-on training exercise for railroad emergencies. The training was held at the Ronkonkoma Train Station, located at 1100 Railroad Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY. Juniors participated in group activities with other departments to foster greater collaboration and camaraderie amongst members. The training consisted of an external examination of the train, including its sides, underside, and front. Additionally, juniors had the opportunity to board the train and observe the seating arrangements and the conductor's cabin. Furthermore, juniors received information on the various tasks and objectives associated with different railroad occupations. About 80 junior firefighters and 15 advisors attended. Appreciation is extended to all attendees; we look forward to their participation in future events and training sessions!
