Looking back on our Blanca’s House barbecue and our efforts to support our Long Island community, it’s the helpers who made it all happen! From lending a hand to giving their time and sharing their hearts, they showed up when it mattered.

Many of you have inquired about our upcoming missions for 2027. We are currently in the very early stages of planning, and at this time, no dates or specialties have been finalized.
Once our October knee replacement mission is completed, we will begin moving forward with the doctors and medical professionals who have expressed interest in joining Blanca’s House in 2027. From there, we will work on confirming specialties, dates, and the details for each mission.
We appreciate your patience as we work through the planning process. We know many of you are eager to make plans for next year.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to take a little time to celebrate, remember, and remind everyone to take care of themselves. 💗

The patients who trusted us with their care.
And, of course, the success stories that remind us why we keep doing this.

Three days of surgeries and procedures. Three days of teamwork, long hours, laughter, a few tired faces, and a whole lot of heart.

Behind every surgery is a person who needed help. A family who was hoping for a better tomorrow. And a team of volunteers who showed up ready to make a difference.

This is what Blanca’s House is all about — crossing borders to save lives. And after 73 missions, it still means just as much as it did in the beginning.

Thank you to every doctor, nurse, anesthesia provider, student, volunteer, Ecuadorian team member, and supporter who helped make Mission 73 a success.

And most importantly…thank you to our patients for trusting us. ❤️

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

Most of us know someone who has been touched by breast cancer — a mother, sister, daughter, friend, coworker, or maybe even ourselves.

So this month, take a minute to check in with yourself. Get your mammogram. Don’t put it off. And remind the women you love to do the same.

And for those who are fighting, those who have fought, and those who have lost someone they love…this month is for you, too.

Take care of yourselves. We need you here. 💕

At the end of every mission, we're reminded of who this is really all about—our patients. ❤️

The thank-yous, and sometimes just the look on someone’s face after they realize they’re finally getting the care they’ve been waiting for… those are the moments that stay with you.

We may come to Ecuador as volunteers, but our patients give us so much in return. They remind us why we keep coming back, mission after mission.

Making a difference in someone’s life. That’s what it’s all about. 🇪🇨❤️

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 - on the way in 28 days

Looking forward to our final mission of 2026—Orthopedic Knee Replacement Surgery.
Why is this mission so important to our patients in Ecuador?
Because many have spent years living with constant, debilitating pain. Pain that makes walking difficult.
For many, knee replacement surgery is simply not financially accessible. So they continue to live with the pain, adapting their lives around what their knees will allow them to do.
Knee replacement is about so much more than replacing a damaged joint. It’s about helping someone walk with less pain, regain mobility, return to daily activities, and reclaim a part of their independence.
This mission gives our patients an opportunity they may have been waiting years for—the chance to move forward without pain dictating their lives.
