Today members of the Huntington Harbour Garden Club were guests at Golden View Elementary School’s Environmental Science Showcase at the school Farm, which is one of the philanthropies our garden club supports. The event featured various organizations and student projects and was quite impressive.  Some of the classrooms were open, showing some of the environmental issues that they are learning about. i was surprised to see that the farm includes much more than just a garden. They also have a chicken coop with some quite exotic chickens, and goat, sheep and pig pens. How fun this must all be for the kids. You wouldn’t expect to see this type of a program right in the middle of Huntington Beach.
