Couple of days ago.
My Shook built Compass Rose kite. SOOO smooth even in the bumpiest wind (thank you Flying Smiles kites).
Then, if that wasn't enough fun, a long stint with my Ziggy-Zaggy (Great Winds Kites). It's a tumbler that is so active and so easy to catch and fly back up that I think of it as a sky yo-yo. I had an unacceptable vid of the action. next time.

Yesterday the wind didn't slack until after dark. Hoping you too the opportunity to do a little flying.
I spent the day flying some SLKs that I have been passing over recently. Then, after dinner, got back into the field with Donna Houchins and our friend and sport kite designer Devin Cobleigh-Morrison. Vids of his AMAZING flying skills coming in following posts.

Union Kite Festival this afternoon! Challenging conditions when the little showers came through and made everything wet and heavy, AND stopped the wind! Great turnout though! The park was full of people enjoying their kites!

Super excited about the custom Mesh Kite Elliot Shook made for me (Flying Smiles Kites). Tuned for inland winds (about the same as a light midvent), in my colors and surprisingly affordable. I've flown other people's and they are SMOOOOTH. Can't wait to pick it up at U-make from Cassie Shook.
