We are ready! Creek is ready! Today is National Interscholastic Championships Eve and tomorrow we kick off the first leg of the 2026 National Championships. 44 teams representing their schools with their sights set on National Championship titles. Come on down to beautiful Salt Creek beach in Dana Point and check out the top student surfers in the nation on June 12-14. All heat scores and results will be live on Liveheats . Congratulations CRUZ VAVURIS-VERDUZCO ( ), your 2026 West Coast Regional Explorer Menehuene 12U Champion.

Cruz delivered a standout performance at Regionals from start to finish earning his first championship title while proving he is one of the division’s rising standouts. He also made a strong run in the Open U12 division, finishing runner-up. It was a huge weekend for Cruz and another statement performance from NorCal’s next generation!

In a Regional Championships stacked with Southern California talent, Rivi flew the flag for NorCal and brought a huge title back home to Santa Cruz proving she is among the region’s rising stars. Her favorite surfer on the Board of Champions is fellow Norcal standout and big-wave charger . Rivi says Zoe inspires her because “she charges, she’s such an amazing surfer, and she’s my biggest inspiration!”

Giacomo had a busy Regionals event competing across 6 divisions and capturing his first Regional titles. He threw down some of the most progressive surfing of the championships with an impressive first place finish in Boys and then taking command of both the Mens Airshow and Junior Airshow U14 divisions cementing himself as one of the West Coast’s premier young aerial surfers. 🏆🏆🏆🚀
