Rock to Recovery

Rock to Recovery Harnessing the healing power of music through playing as a group, songwriting and recording...

For m You do NOT have to be a musician. It's works miracles.

Former Korn guitarist Wes Geer founded Rock to Recovery on 12-12-2012 in an effort to bring a new and unique type of music expression group into treatment centers -they form a BAND! The band writes and performs a song together finally recording it at the end of the session(s). "Music is a language we all know from a young age....Rock to Recovery gives people the outlet to channel the music in thei

r soul, many for the first time, and we help bring it out of them." -Wesley Geer

Those in the early days of recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction, cancer treatments, depression, eating disorders etc., can enjoy the therapeutic release that only music can provide. The participants feel a part of, grow self esteem, walk through fears, inhibitions, escape their woes, to come out the other side with a totally new vibration. Rock to Recovery typically operates as an adjunct service to a treatment center's curriculum, helping to add hope, joy, and escape from the woes of the clients journey. "I spent time in rehab, I know what it's like. I wanted a way to give back, and help lift the spirits of those in early recovery. 'Music is the Medicine'. you should see the people after their done rockin out. It's life changing. We all walk out of there high, naturally." -Wes Geer

South Florida!! 🍊 July 14–19. Six days, one mission. 🎸

We’re bringing the full experience to South Florida next week — and every single stop is hands-on. This isn’t lectures about music. It’s music, live, in the room. Every integration includes a BandJAM x Rock to Recovery® experiential session, because you don’t learn what this does by hearing about it. You feel it.

Here’s the week:

🎙️ July 14 — Miami — sitting down for a radio conversation w Natu on music, the brain, and why this works.

🍽️ July 15 — Private Fundraiser Dinner (Capital Grille, Boca Raton) — an intimate night for the mission, with live music you won’t forget.

🧠 July 16 — CE Lunch & Learn (Caron, Delray Beach) — 2.0 NAADAC CE hours for clinicians, plus a live BandJAM session so you experience the intervention, not just study it.

📖 July 19 — The D.O.S.E. Effect of Music (Books & Books, Coral Gables) — an experiential lecture + book signing on the neuroscience of music, with David Carter and Will Hurwitz.

Four rooms. Four audiences. Same truth: music is the most effective mental health intervention we have — and the only way to prove it is to put you in it.

If you’re in South Florida, come feel it. 🎸
