Huntington Harbour Boat Parade

Huntington Harbour Boat Parade The Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Boat Parade is an all-volunteer effort of private boats organized by the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee.

Typically held the second weekend in December, the all-volunteer Huntington Harbour Boat Parade is a ‘"thank you" to the homeowners of Huntington Harbour for decorating their homes for our major fundraiser, the Cruise of Lights®. Unlike other cities' parades which are produced by a chamber of commerce, city, or marina, our boat parade relies on donations for funding. We do the parade each year to

show our appreciation to the waterfront and off-water Harbour residents for decorating their homes and supporting our efforts to raise money for youth music programs through a separate event, the Cruise of Lights®. The Cruise of Lights® is a major fundraiser which sells tickets to the public to view decorated homes from chartered boats and busses to support the Philharmonic Society of Orange County's youth music programs. Happy 117th Birthday, Huntington Beach!

The City of Huntington Beach invites you to join in celebrating our 117th birthday on Tuesday, February 17, at 5:30 p.m., before the City Council meeting. This year is extra special, not only are we celebrating 117 years since Huntington Beach was incorporated on February 17, 1909, but 2026 also marks America’s 250th anniversary of independence, a milestone in our nation’s history known as the Semiquincentennial.

Enjoy a delicious piece of birthday cake in honor of the occasion, served in the Lower Lobby of City Hall. This sweet celebration is made possible by the generous discount from Albertsons at Seacliff Village and is hosted by the City Celebration Committee.

Bring your hometown pride and patriotic spirit! Let’s celebrate history together!
