All animals are important to me. Dogs hold such a special place in my heart, and as an ex bf once pointed out to me, I love them so much because they've never ever let me down.
I've known thousands of dogs between my own, my family & friends & of course through rescue. Many I only knew for a short time before they went to a new home, or crossed the Rainbow Bridge. All hold a special place in my heart.
Lucy Lombardo was one special girl that made such an impact on my heart in an unfairly brief amount of time. I knew of her, and of her rescue story, through my friend Vinn, but had not had the pleasure of meeting her until just a few weeks ago at Newport Harbor Animal Hospital. Lucy was facing a mountain, and she tried so hard to fight. Her eyes were truly the window to her soul. Oh how I wish time could have stood still. 🥺
Sweet Lucy had many friends to greet her at the Rainbow Bridge and I know she will be there to see her family again someday.
Vinn I am so so very sorry. I am honored and so lucky to have met Lucy.

Thank you for all the inquiries regarding the 140 dogs brought into OC Animal Care due to the breeder bust. These dogs are not yet available, not while the case is u see investigation.
Please see this letter from the Shelter Director:

LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR:

To the wonderfully compassionate residents of Orange County,

Let me start by saying thank you. You saw over 140 dogs in immediate need, and you jumped to action. You have warmed our hearts with the outpouring of generous donations we have received ever since this case broke last Friday. You have responded SO generously that we are no longer in need of supplies at this time, which is truly incredible!

We still need you, though. More than ever, OC.

As many of you know, this case has occurred at a time when we are already well over our capacity for animals. The sudden need to accommodate and care for an additional ~140 dogs is truly testing our limits, and it has created an unsustainable and urgent situation for all of our animals. We need your help. We need adopters. We need our amazing community to open up their homes to any of the hundreds of loving pets currently in our care waiting for their forever homes. The dogs involved in this case will not be ready for adoption while the investigation continues and they will need continuous care throughout, but hundreds and hundreds of incredible pets are ready to go home with you now and adoption fees are still being waived. Every single adoption will allow us to keep to our high standards of care and our high standards for the opportunities we strive to give every life.

If you’ve followed our organization’s recent progress, you’ve seen us grow into a shelter that gives the pets in our care every available chance for a forever home. From dogs like Fenway, who has been waiting for his forever home for 492 days and counting, cats like 15 year old Smokey who is in the golden years of his life, or the thousands of vulnerable newborn kittens that we have committed to trying to save. We know you support us in these efforts, Orange County, and we need you NOW to help us continue to give animals like this the chances they all deserve.

We can’t wait to find you your next family member. See you soon, Orange County!

Pawsitive Vibes REGGAE SHOW THIS SATURDAY IN GARDEN GROVE! Let’s get our good vibes on! Garden Amp at 12762 Main Street.

We’ll be representing with Saving Graces Rescue Foundation and gaining exposure for this loving boy Wailer! He absolutely loves people and is best suited in an only animal home or with a very skilled owner. (Wailer will not be at this event).

The reggae fest is all day and into the night so come on out whenever! Thank you Daaron Lees & Teddie Borges for including SGRF! And of course thank you to my awesome friends Laurie Mitchell & Markelle Cooper Pineda for coming out and getting your reggae on!

Hi everyone! Saving Graces Rescue Foundation needs your help❣
Our little Count Chocula, now Peanut, is very ill. His mommy & daddy have taken such good care of him but costs are skyrocketing with regular ER visits. Peanut has pancreatitis and diabetes now. :(
He has been in forever foster care since leaving high kill oc shelter. All donations are tax deductible and I'll send you a receipt.
Every bit helps! You can donate directly to [email protected], or click on donate via this youcaring link, or call the vet directly.
Peanut needs us! His pawrents have never once considered giving him back or giving up on him.
Thank you so much!
And please share 💖

Our baby Peanut has been diagnosed with Diabetes, Cataracts and now Acute Pancreatitis. Our last vet visit cost us close to 2000.00. He is now in need of more treatment. The pancreatitis is back and needs to be admitted to Intensive care at Hesperia Animal Hospital ASAP. Any donations would help....
