Hoy esta cerrada la biblioteca.

Oak View Branch Library will be closed this Friday, September 4, to replace our HVAC system. We will reopen for regular hours on Saturday, September 5. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you again!
While the branch is closed, our digital resources are available anytime at HBPL.org.

Join us for our in-person Spanish Book Club! We’ll be discuss “I Give You My Silence” by Mario Vargas Llosa. "Le dedico mi silencio” is a novel about a journalist who becomes obsessed with a brilliant guitarist whose music he believes could unite Peru. It’s a story about art, identity, and the hope that culture can heal a divided country.
Discussion will be in Spanish.

Summer Success at Oak View Library!

The Oak View Branch wrapped up a great summer of Math Club and Reading Partners, helping students strengthen reading and math skills while having fun!

In July, over 80 K–5 students, supported by 20 volunteers, participated in games, crafts, and hands-on learning.

The program ended with a patriotic celebration, “Turning Pages for 250 Years,” in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

We want to thank Marcos Pravongviengkham, a Homework Help Tenn volunteer, for coordinating once again the generous donation of 100 backpacks of school supplies for students.

Thanks to all students, families, volunteers, and staff for a wonderful summer and we wish everyone a great 2026-2027 school year!

The Oak View Yarn & Conversation Club has proudly completed about 30 handmade relief pillows for children affected by the recent earthquake in Venezuela. This heartfelt project was done in partnership with Almohaditas de Alivio para Venezuela | Anuditos.

We’d love for you to join us for the next project! Whether you crochet, knit, or simply enjoy good company, everyone is welcome.
