Robyne’s Nest recently participated in the Talbert Middle School Wellness Fair, creating space for over 200+ students to reflect on healthy coping skills, trusted support systems, and everyday mental wellness practices.

Through simple but meaningful activities, students engaged with questions about stress, connection, and self-care while learning more about available support resources.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to be present in school communities and help normalize conversations around student well-being.

Meaningful conversations can start with one simple question.

At the Oceanview High School Wellness Fair, Robyne’s Nest connected with roughly 360 students through two mental health-focused sessions—one on healthy coping skills and one about identifying who they turn to when stressed.

It was encouraging to see students pause, reflect, and engage with topics that are so important to their well-being. Creating safe spaces for these conversations is one of the many ways we help young people feel supported, seen, and connected.

We’re thankful to be part of events like this that help strengthen students and school communities.

Real talk: budgeting in Orange County isn't easy. 💸

Last week, Rylan Mukssood led our Life Skills crew through a budgeting refresher — breaking down the 50/30/20 rule and how to actually apply it to life in OC.

We covered:
✅ The 50/30/20 rule made simple
✅ Mobile apps that make daily tracking painless
✅ Why a high-yield savings account matters — your money should work for YOU, not the bank

Financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools we can give our students. 💙

We loved connecting with students at Edison High School! 💙

Recently, we partnered with Rachel McIntyre from Amplify Greatness Careers for a powerful afternoon of collaboration.

Robyne's Nest shared how we support students and schools — food, clothing, transportation, mental health, and advocacy. Then Rachel led an engaging session on resumes, interviews, college prep, and career readiness.

Equipping students with tools, confidence, and support for their future — that's what it's all about. ✨

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible friends at Curves Garden Grove! 💜 Your recent efforts to help restock our pantry mean the world to the students we serve and us.

When local businesses step up, it directly impacts the lives of at-risk and homeless youth in our community who lack parental support. Because of your generosity, these teens have the essential nutrition they need to stay healthy, focus on their education, and keep moving forward.

🎛️ 5 Ways To Create Safer Conversations With Teens

Trusted Adults - Small shifts can make a hard conversation feel more honest and supportive:
▣ Listen fully before trying to fix anything
▣ Keep your tone calm, even when emotions are high
▣ Validate feelings without minimizing them
▣ Ask open questions instead of yes-or-no questions
▣ Help connect them to real support when needed

What This Can Sound Like
🔸 "I'm here, and I'm listening."
🔸 "That sounds really heavy."
🔸 "Do you want to tell me more about that?"
🔸 "What feels hardest right now?"
🔸 "You do not have to figure this out alone."
🔸 "Let's think about who can support you next."

🔧 Helpful Reminders:

Stay Present
💥 Silence does not always mean they do not want support
→ Give them space without shutting the conversation down

💥 Avoid rushing to solutions
→ Start with understanding before advice
→ Focus on safety, trust, and consistency
→ Let the conversation be a beginning, not a finish line

Build Connection
⚙️ Emotionally safe conversations can open the door to healing

We loved being part of Goldenwest College’s Spring Health & Wellness Fair 💜

Lissie and Breana spent time connecting with students, sharing more about Robyne’s Nest, and hearing how students practice self-care in their everyday lives.

Moments like this matter — they create space for connection, reflection, and support.
