Pencils of Promise - Passion for Education

Thank you so much for stopping by. For those who know me, and the few of you who don't, I have an extreme passion for communities and education around the world. After returning from teaching in South America in December 2013, my heart and life were so profoundly changed, I knew I needed to do more. On Christmas Day, I made a pledge to myself to raise $25,000 to build a school through Pencils of P

romise. I am so extremely passionate about education worldwide. One classroom, one teacher, one book, can change a life forever. I was fortunate enough to have these resources handed to me, but approximately 70,000 children worldwide do not. It has become very clear to me that this school will literally change an entire community. From the students, to the teachers being hired, to the community members involved in the build of the school. I have never felt a greater need to do anything in my life. This is what I am meant to do; to share and inspire the world about education. I see this going far beyond just one school. I need the assistance of my entire community to help shape another. When it is all said and done, by the end of 2014 I will have raised the $25,000 and be traveling back to Central America to see this school take shape.
