💗 Join Team HACDS for the Sharsheret West Coast Dash! 💗

I’d love to invite our HACDS families to come together for something that is about so much more than a run.

Sharsheret is a national Jewish organization that supports women and families facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, as well as those at increased genetic risk. They provide personalized support, education, financial assistance, genetic counseling, and resources for families navigating the cancer journey. Their work reaches beyond the person diagnosed to caregivers, children, teens, and entire families.

The Sharsheret West Coast Dash is a beautiful way for our community to turn our values into action. This year’s event is Sunday, October 25 at Dockweiler Beach, and there truly is something for everyone:

🏃 10K
👟 1K Family Fun Race for ages 1+
🌊 Virtual participation
👶 Strollers welcome
💗 All ages and abilities welcome

So whether you have a little one who wants to do the 1K, a middle or high schooler who wants to run or walk the 5K, a parent who wants to tackle the 10K, or a family that simply wants to come cheer, participate, and be together, there is a place for you.

I’m creating Team HACDS, and I would love to see our Hebrew Academy community come out together.

What makes this especially meaningful to me is that this is an opportunity to show our children that tzedakah and chesed aren’t just concepts we learn about. They are things we live.

We can run for someone we love.
We can walk in honor of a survivor.
We can remember someone we have lost.
We can support families who are walking through cancer.
And we can simply show up for our community.

Let’s make our miles meaningful and bring a little HACDS spirit to the beach. 💙

Learning is an adventure, and our Kindergarten students are always ready to explore! At the Orange County Zoo, our young learners got up close with wildlife, discovered fascinating facts about animals, and brought their classroom learning to life through hands-on exploration. Every field trip opens the door to new discoveries, exciting questions, and unforgettable memories. Where will their curiosity take them on their next Hebrew Academy adventure?
