Build Futures takes Orange County homeless youth, 18 to 24, off the streets and places them in safe

The Build Futures’ innovative, collaborative program of intervention uses existing non-profit organizations, community services, faith based organizations, educational institutions and volunteers to connect youth to housing and services to meet a gap in the service continuum. Key stakeholders will include nonprofits focusing on housing, employment, academics/education, medical, mental health servi

ce and basic needs. While evidence based outcomes vary by youth, the first outcome is always stable and safe housing, other outcomes will include completion of High School or GED, driver’s license, birth certificate, social security card, medical insurance, stable job and job skills, FAFSA/financial aid help, continuing education with the goal of completing college or job skill training and reliable transportation.

After 14 years and housing over 1,750 youth Build Futures is closed.

With a small donation of just $5 you can pay for a daily bus pass for a young homeless person to take a bus to work and and begin on a path to self sufficiency.

As winter rains come down we get an increasing number of calls to house homeless young adults. Please donate so we won't have to turn them away.
