Were excited to finally announce this year's Mini Camp!
Our Bearcat Cheer Mini Camp is open to all children grades Kindergarten - 5th grade, during the 2023-2024 school year.
This year's mini camp will be held June 3rd - June 5th, 5:30 PM- 7PM at the Huntingdon Area High School with a performance on June 6th at 6 PM.

Registration will be held May 28th, 5pm-6pm at the Huntingdon Area High School and is $40/child!

During the course of the week your children will be working with the Middle School and High School Bearcat Cheerleaders on motions, basic stunts, learning cheers and even putting together a small performance to showcase on June 6th!

As a follow-up to the recent decision to merge the Mudcats & Colts, here is some additional information to answer some questions:

The league voted to remove the boundary line between Steelers/Colts, allowing any Huntingdon School District player the option to pick which team they wish to play for.

Mudcat players will join the Colts team to form the Huntingdon Colts. Previously submitted registrations will be transferred. However, players have an option to join the Steelers if desired.

Mudcat coaches will be working together with Colts coaches offering a diverse, experienced, and skilled coaching staff. Safety, skill training, youth development, and fun continue to be the focus.

As a way to pay tribute to the local football legacy, the Colts name was retained. The Colts were the original team “back in the day”. The Mudcats name, colors, and logo will hold a special place in place in our hearts. Veterans for Kids will continue to support activities that promote youth development and community service.

There will be a parent/coaches meeting in the future to discuss any issues and our vision for the future for all players. Thank you for your understanding and support of this transition in building a strong program.

Dear Mudcat Families:

The Mudcat Football & Cheer program was initially established in 2020 to provide playing opportunities for the Huntingdon youth athletes during the Covid-19 pandemic. It became that, and then evolved into something beyond our wildest expectations.

At the core of it all, is our deep passion for Huntingdon Bearcat football and cheer, and our commitment to ensuring the survival and expansion of the football tradition in Huntingdon. Every decision made as an organization is driven by pure intentions and our belief in enhancing each child’s experience.

As advocates for promoting the growth of Huntingdon youth football, we would like to announce that effective immediately, we have decided to join forces and merge with the former Woodcock Valley Colts Organization. Together, we will create the newly formed Huntingdon Colts Football and Cheer organization.

At every level of this program, you will encounter familiar faces as well as some new faces that we believe will create the best experience for all the athletes. We are excited to embark on this new chapter and continue fulfilling our mission of fostering the love for football and cheer in Huntingdon.

The Huntingdon Colts Football and Cheer Organization will be a part of the Huntingdon Youth Football League, offering opportunities for all the youth athletes within the Huntingdon School District.

The leadership/board of the organization will consist of equal representation from both former organizations. Although the Mudcat name may no longer be used, its legacy is evolving into something greater than was imagined years ago.

Veterans for Kids will continue to exist and support the newly formed program. Thanks to everyone who contributed with time and service, financial contributions, and support for the organization. Thank you all for taking some part in this incredible journey.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

The VFW is hosting a cash party this Saturday, 3/16 and the Mudcats/Veterans for Kids is seeking a few eager volunteers to help at the event to sell tickets and serve food.
