On Monday, PERT staff, volunteers, members, and a board member spent a beautiful day paddling the Mullica River with Pinelands Adventures.

It was a great chance to get to know one another beyond the preserve, learn about the ecology of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, and hear about the work being done to protect this remarkable landscape and its wildlife.

Experiences like this are also a good reminder that PERT happens because of so many people—our staff, members, volunteers, and board members—all bringing their time, energy, and care to this work.

Thank you to Pinelands Adventures for sharing their knowledge and helping make it such a memorable trip!
