Pottstown Community Meeting – Torrence Lytle High School

The Pottstown community is invited to attend two upcoming community meetings focused on the redevelopment and preservation of Torrence Lytle High School. Community members will have an opportunity to hear presentations from developers regarding their plans for the historic property.

Both meetings will be held at the David B. Wamer Recreation Center, 14008 Holbrooks Road, Huntersville, NC 28078, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 19, 2026 — Presentation by DreamKey Partners

These meetings provide an important opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed redevelopment and preservation project and hear directly from the developers involved.

Pottstown Heritage Group would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our Second Annual Back-to-School Bash a tremendous success!
We are incredibly grateful to our partners, sponsors, and vendors who helped bring this event to life, including the David B Waymer Center, Huntersville Police Department for providing hot dogs, East Huntersville Community Outreach, Novant Health, Sherwin-Williams, Blue Bell Ice Cream, C&J Funnel Cakes, Pelican's Snoballs, and so many others.

A very special and sincere thank you goes to the Peninsula Community Foundation. Your generosity and unwavering support of our organization made this event possible, and we cannot thank you enough.

To everyone who attended and supported us, thank you for showing up for our community. Because of your support, we were able to bless so many families with school supplies as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

Novant Health is partnering with the Northern Regional Recreation Center to help eligible children start the new school year healthy, confident, and ready to learn!

Join us for a Back-to-School Community Health Event featuring:

💉 Free childhood immunizations for eligible children up to age 18 who have Medicaid, are uninsured, or qualify through the Vaccines for Children program.

🩺 Free child health assessments for school-age children, which may include physical exams, screenings, and developmental evaluations.
